About the Sanitation Technician role

Sanitation technicians are responsible for ensuring proper waste disposal and sanitation standards are met in a variety of settings. Role Purpose

The purpose of a Sanitation Technician is to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of a facility. This includes performing a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting surfaces; emptying and cleaning trash containers; restocking supplies; and performing other duties as assigned. Sanitation Technicians also inspect areas for safety and cleanliness and identify and report any health or safety issues that need to be addressed. Ultimately, Sanitation Technicians play an important role in maintaining the health and safety of an environment.

Sanitation Technician Summary

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for providing sanitation services in a safe and effective manner. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the workplace, including restrooms, floors, walls, and other surfaces. The Technician also inspects and maintains equipment, including mops, buckets, and other tools, to ensure that they are in good working order. Sanitation Technician Duties

  • Operate and maintain sanitation equipment, including power washers, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment
  • Maintain sanitation equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and conducting minor repairs
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and areas, following safety procedures and instructions
  • Operate forklift or other material handling equipment when necessary
