Role Purpose

The purpose of a Receiving Clerk is to oversee the receiving and processing of incoming shipments in an efficient and timely manner. This includes verifying shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation; unloading and sorting incoming shipments; and verifying the quality and quantity of all items. The Receiving Clerk must also maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments and ensure that all shipments are properly stored and labeled. Additionally, the Receiving Clerk may be responsible for preparing and submitting receiving/shipping reports and resolving any discrepancies with vendors or customers.
