Production assistants (PAs) provide support to production teams on film, television, and other media projects. They are responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting the director, running errands, and managing the production office. They must be organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Role Purpose

The purpose of a Production Assistant (PA) is to provide support to the production staff and crew on set. This may include such tasks as running errands, setting up and striking sets, assisting with camera and lighting setup, helping with wardrobe and makeup, and any other tasks as assigned by the production team. The PA is responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work space, and may be asked to provide input and ideas when needed. The PA should also be familiar with the rules and regulations of the production company and adhere to them throughout the shoot.
