About the Creeler role
Creelers are responsible for preparing and maintaining the creels, or spools, used in the textile industry. They fill the creels with yarn, ensuring that they are properly tensioned and balanced, and inspect them regularly to ensure they are working correctly.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a Creeler is to assemble and maintain fishing nets and other fishing equipment. A Creeler is responsible for measuring out the correct amount of rope and netting for each net and then constructing the net according to a predetermined pattern. The Creeler must also inspect and repair any damage to the netting or rope, as well as ensuring that the net is properly balanced and secure. Additionally, a Creeler must pay attention to safety and keep the workspace clean and organized.

A Creeler is responsible for sorting, packing, and transporting fish and other seafood products. They must have knowledge of the types of fish and seafood available and the best methods for packing and storing them. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently or with a team. They must be able to lift heavy equipment and have basic math skills for weighing and counting the product. They must also have good communication and customer service skills.
