About the Bakery Helper role
A Bakery Helper is responsible for assisting bakers with the preparation and baking of breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and other baked goods. Duties may include measuring ingredients, mixing dough, operating baking equipment, packaging finished products, and restocking shelves.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a Bakery Helper is to assist in the preparation, baking, and packaging of baked goods in a bakery. The Bakery Helper may be responsible for ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready for use, measuring out ingredients, mixing and kneading dough, shaping and loading dough into pans, monitoring ovens, and packaging and labeling finished products. The Bakery Helper may also be required to provide customer service, take customer orders, and answer any questions customers may have.
Bakery Helper Summary
The Bakery Helper is responsible for providing assistance to the Bakery Manager in all areas of the bakery. This includes assisting with the preparation, baking, and packaging of baked goods, as well as maintaining a neat and orderly work environment. The ideal candidate for this position should have a passion for working with food and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and work with a variety of people. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
