Role Purpose

The purpose of a Recreation Assistant is to provide support to the Recreation Manager in the operation of recreation programs and activities. This includes providing assistance in the planning, organizing, and implementing of recreation activities and programs for a variety of age groups, including children, teens, and adults. The Recreation Assistant is also responsible for providing supervision and guidance to participants in these activities. In addition, the Recreation Assistant may also be asked to assist with the maintenance of equipment and facilities, as well as the promotion of recreation programs and activities to the public.

Recreation Assistant Summary

A Recreation Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of recreational activities for children and adults. This position requires an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently and with a team.
