Role Purpose
The purpose of a team physician is to provide medical care and support to athletes on a sports team. This includes providing medical examinations and treatments to help prevent, diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses, as well as administering medications and overseeing rehabilitation plans. Team physicians also provide advice and guidance on athletic performance, nutrition and diet, and other areas related to the health and well-being of the athletes.
Team Physician Summary
The Team Physician is responsible for providing medical care to athletes and personnel of an organization. This includes conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, providing medical advice and direction, and performing emergency medical procedures.
