Role Purpose
The purpose of a swabber is to clean, maintain, and repair ships and other vessels. This includes sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing decks and other areas of the ship; painting and maintaining metal surfaces; and repairing or replacing components of the ship. A swabber may also be responsible for maintaining the ship's records, keeping an inventory of supplies, and performing other administrative tasks.
