Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for accurately measuring, preparing, and labeling medications; stocking shelves; entering patient information into the computer system; and answering customer questions. They also assist in the ordering and tracking of medications and supplies, and may be required to help with insurance claims.
Pharmacist Technician Summary
The Pharmacist Technician is responsible for providing technical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in the preparation, distribution, and record-keeping of prescription medications. The Technician must be able to accurately count, measure, and mix medications in accordance with prescriptions and established standards, as well as maintain accurate patient profiles and records.
