Patient Sitter Summary
The Patient Sitter provides constant observation of patients to ensure their safety and provide comfort. This position requires a caring, patient, and observant individual with strong interpersonal skills. The Patient Sitter will stay in the patient's room for the duration of the shift and provide physical and emotional support to the patient. The Patient Sitter will monitor the patient's behavior and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team. The Patient Sitter will also answer call bells, provide companionship, and help the patient with basic needs such as drinking water or going to the restroom. The Patient Sitter will be required to document the patient's activities and behaviors throughout the shift.
