They also counsel patients on diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to improve health and prevent illnesses. In addition, they coordinate patient care with other medical professionals and specialists, such as surgeons and specialists in physical medicine, to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patients.

The Internal Medicine Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care for adults, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive health care services.
