Role Purpose

The purpose of a Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) is to provide support to the Anesthesiologist or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in preparing and managing the anesthesia environment and supplies. The Cer.A.T. is responsible for the maintenance, preparation, and operation of the anesthetic equipment, as well as the monitoring of the patient's vital signs during the anesthesia process. The Cer.A.T. also assists with providing patient care, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and recovery room care.
