Cardiac Sonographers are responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, analyzing the resulting images and providing accurate and detailed reports for physicians to interpret. Cardiac Sonographer Summary

A Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac ultrasounds, also known as echocardiograms. This position requires the ability to acquire and interpret diagnostic images of the heart, as well as patient history and physical examination data. The Cardiac Sonographer must be able to identify abnormal findings and provide the Physician with the necessary information to make a diagnosis. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
