Role Purpose

The purpose of a school custodian is to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and order of the school environment. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning classrooms, offices, and other common areas; restocking supplies; setting up and breaking down events; and providing general maintenance and repair services. The custodian is also responsible for responding to emergency situations, such as spills or broken equipment. In addition, the custodian may be asked to perform routine security checks, assist with ordering supplies, and provide general customer service to staff, students, and visitors.
