A School Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of school facilities. They may perform duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms. They may also be responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of school equipment.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a school custodian is to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and order of the school environment. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning classrooms, offices, and other common areas; restocking supplies; setting up and breaking down events; and providing general maintenance and repair services. The custodian is also responsible for responding to emergency situations, such as spills or broken equipment. In addition, the custodian may be asked to perform routine security checks, assist with ordering supplies, and provide general customer service to staff, students, and visitors.

The School Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and security of the school facility. Duties include but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms; emptying trash and recycling receptacles; cleaning windows, walls, and furniture; and performing minor maintenance and repairs. The custodian must also be able to follow security protocols and help ensure the safety of the school's students, faculty, and visitors. Other duties may include providing support during special events, setting up and taking down furniture and equipment, and performing snow and ice removal. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
