About the Landscape Technician role
A Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces, such as parks, gardens, and other outdoor areas. They may perform a variety of tasks such as planting and transplanting plants, pruning trees and shrubs, mowing and edging lawns, and building and repairing retaining walls, patios, and other outdoor structures. They also may use a variety of tools and equipment, including power mowers and edgers, chain saws, and hand tools.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a Landscape Technician is to maintain and repair outdoor spaces to ensure safe and aesthetically pleasing environments for residents and visitors. This may include, but is not limited to, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, removing debris, and maintaining irrigation systems. The Landscape Technician may also be responsible for providing advice and guidance on best practices for caring for outdoor spaces.
Landscape Technician Summary
The Landscape Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of landscapes. This includes mowing, weeding, edging, pruning, mulching, fertilizing, and planting. The Technician will also be responsible for the use of machinery and equipment such as mowers, edgers, trimmers, and other tools. The Technician must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. In addition, the Technician must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
