Role Purpose

The purpose of a Low Voltage Technician is to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems for residential and commercial customers. These systems can include home theatre systems, structured wiring, security systems, fire alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV systems. Low Voltage Technicians are responsible for interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; troubleshooting and diagnosing low voltage systems; and installing, configuring, and testing low voltage systems. They must also ensure that the systems meet local, state, and federal regulations. Low Voltage Technicians must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as they often interact with customers on a daily basis.

Low Voltage Technician Summary

The Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including telephone systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, fire alarm systems, and other related equipment.
