The Audio Engineer is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the technical equipment used to record, mix, edit, and reproduce sound. This includes selecting and positioning microphones, setting sound levels, and operating sound recording, mixing, and editing equipment. The Audio Engineer must also be familiar with a variety of digital audio workstations and Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software, as well as have a strong understanding of acoustics and audio signal processing.
