School Counselor Summary
The School Counselor is responsible for providing guidance and counseling services to students in order to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of students. The School Counselor is also responsible for collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure students reach their full potential. Duties include, but are not limited to, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, student assessment, education planning, academic support, consultation, coordination of services, and advocating for students. The School Counselor must possess a strong knowledge of academic, career, and social/emotional development, as well as knowledge of the laws, regulations, and standards related to school counseling.
School Counselor Duties
