Role Purpose
The purpose of a Correctional Counselor is to provide guidance and support to inmates in a correctional facility. This includes helping inmates develop and implement plans for their rehabilitation, providing counseling to help address behavior and emotional problems, and monitoring inmates' progress. The Correctional Counselor also works closely with other staff members to ensure the safety and security of the facility, as well as providing referrals to outside services when necessary.
