About the Assessment Specialist role

The purpose of an Assessment Specialist is to assess the needs of individuals and organizations in order to develop and implement appropriate programs and services. Assessment Specialists may work with a variety of clients, including students, families, businesses, and community organizations. They use a variety of methods, including interviews, surveys, and data analysis, to identify and evaluate needs. The Assessment Specialist then develops strategies to address those needs and evaluates the effectiveness of the strategies. Assessment Specialists are also responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients.
Assessment Specialist Summary
The Assessment Specialist is responsible for providing assessment services to students and staff within an educational setting. This includes administering and interpreting assessments, developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and providing feedback on assessment results.
