About the Tower Climber role
Tower Climbers climb radio and cell towers in order to install, maintain and repair equipment. They must be knowledgeable in safety protocols and have the physical strength and agility to climb the towers, often in extreme weather conditions.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a tower climber job role is to inspect, maintain, and repair communication towers and related equipment. This includes climbing the tower and performing necessary repairs and adjustments, as well as inspecting all components of the tower, such as antennas, transmission lines, and other hardware. Tower climbers must also be familiar with safety regulations and equipment, and must be able to recognize potential hazards and take the necessary precautions to prevent accidents.

A Tower Climber is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of communication towers. Tower Climbers must possess excellent physical strength, agility, and balance, as well as the ability to work at great heights. They must also be able to follow safety protocols and use the proper equipment for the job.
Tower Climbers must be comfortable working in all types of weather conditions and be able to lift heavy objects. They must be able to read and understand instructions, accurately measure and install components, and troubleshoot any issues. A Tower Climber must be able to work independently or as part of a team, and must have a valid driver's license. Certification in tower climbing is highly preferred.
Tower Climber Duties
