Role Purpose
The purpose of a Mason Tender is to assist masons in their daily duties. This includes but is not limited to mixing mortar and grout, carrying bricks and block, cleaning up the work area, and other tasks as assigned. Mason Tenders are responsible for ensuring that all materials are safely handled, stored, and used correctly. They must be able to perform moderately heavy lifting and must have a good understanding of basic construction techniques. Mason Tenders should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Mason Tender Summary
Mason Tender is responsible for providing support to the mason or bricklayer in the construction of various masonry projects. Duties include preparing work areas, mixing mortar and grout, carrying materials, building forms and scaffolding, cleaning work areas, and assisting the mason in other tasks. The Mason Tender must have knowledge of masonry tools and materials, and be able to lift and carry heavy objects. The ability to read and understand plans and instructions is also important. The Mason Tender must have a strong work ethic and be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions.
