About the Electrician role
An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings. They also troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Role Purpose
The purpose of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This includes wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, conduits, switches, outlets, motors, and other electrical equipment. Electricians may also install and maintain other electronic components such as telecommunications systems, security systems, and home entertainment systems. Electricians must be knowledgeable in both electrical theory and practical applications, and must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
