This includes framing walls and partitions, laying floors, and constructing roofs. Building Carpenters also install doors, windows, stairs, cabinets, and other fixtures. They may also perform maintenance work on existing structures and make repairs and adjustments as needed. Building Carpenters must be familiar with local building codes and safety regulations. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use a variety of tools and equipment to complete their tasks.
