Role Purpose

The purpose of a Lube Technician is to inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles in order to ensure they are safe and running properly. They are responsible for performing oil changes, checking and replacing filters, lubricating steering and suspension components, and performing other routine maintenance tasks. Additionally, they are also responsible for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, and providing customers with advice and information about vehicle maintenance.

Lube Technician Summary

A Lube Technician is responsible for providing preventative maintenance services to customers’ vehicles. This includes changing oil, checking and refilling vehicle fluids, checking and replacing air and fuel filters, changing tires, and other light mechanical services. The Lube Technician must be able to work efficiently, accurately, and safely while providing excellent customer service. They must be knowledgeable in the operation of all types of vehicles and have the ability to identify and diagnose any minor mechanical issues. The Lube Technician must ensure that all services are performed in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and industry standards.

Lube Technician Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles such as changing oil, topping off fluids, and inspecting brakes and other components
  • Check vehicle performance issues such as fluid leaks, worn belts, and steering and suspension components

  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments such as replacing brake pads and shock absorbers
