About the Alignment Technician role
An Alignment Technician is responsible for performing complex mechanical tasks related to the alignment of machines and parts. This may include the use of measuring tools and precision alignment instruments to ensure the accuracy of the alignment. The purpose of an Alignment Technician is to inspect and adjust mechanical components to ensure proper functioning and accurate alignment. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical components, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of machines. They also adjust and calibrate equipment to meet customer specifications, prepare reports and recommend changes to improve efficiency, and perform basic repairs and maintenance on machines. Additionally, they may also record and track measurements and other data related to the alignment process to ensure quality control.
