About the Choreographer role

Role Purpose
The purpose of a Choreographer is to create original dance routines and sequences for various forms of performance, such as musicals, films, television shows, and stage productions. The Choreographer works closely with the Director to create a vision for the performance, and then collaborates with the cast and crew to bring that vision to life. Choreographers must be able to interpret music, develop creative and innovative dancing, and motivate performers to bring the best out of them. Choreographers must also be able to teach and explain their ideas to the performers and monitor their progress.
