They are responsible for ensuring that all design requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner, as well as supervising and leading the art staff. They must have an eye for detail and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other departments. An Art Supervisor must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects at once.

Art Supervisor Summary

The Art Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the creative process and production of art assets for a project or company. This role is the bridge between creative and technical teams, and requires strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills. The Art Supervisor will be responsible for the visual development, design and execution of all art assets, including characters, backgrounds, UI, and 3D assets. They will work closely with the Art Director, Production and Creative teams to ensure that all art assets are delivered on time and to the highest possible quality. They will also be expected to mentor and manage a team of artists and ensure that all deadlines are met.
