About the Jury Consultant role
A Jury Consultant provides expert guidance and advice to attorneys, legal teams, and other stakeholders involved in civil and criminal litigation. They analyze relevant data, conduct mock jury studies, and develop effective jury selection strategies to ensure their clients receive a fair trial.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a jury consultant is to assist attorneys in preparing for and trying jury trials. They provide expertise on jury selection, jury dynamics, jury research, jury instructions, jury communication, and jury persuasion. Jury consultants also provide guidance to attorneys on case strategy and jury selection techniques. They analyze data from jury research and focus groups to provide insights into the attitudes and opinions of potential jurors. In addition, jury consultants may provide training to attorneys on how to present their case to the jury in the most effective manner.
Jury Consultant Summary
A Jury Consultant is responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to attorneys during jury selection and trial preparation. They must have experience in the legal field, as well as a background in psychology and/or sociology. Jury Consultants work to identify potential jurors who may be more sympathetic to the case and to identify any potential biases or prejudices jurors may hold. Additionally, they help create juror profiles and develop strategies to address complex issues during jury selection.
