About the Children's Pastor role
The Children's Pastor is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive ministry for children, from newborn through sixth grade, in order to help them grow in their faith. This includes developing and leading weekend services, programs, and other events, as well as providing spiritual guidance and support to the families of children in the congregation.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a Children's Pastor is to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to children, from infants to young adults, in order to help them live out the Christian faith. This includes creating age-appropriate educational programs and activities, leading Sunday school services and Bible studies, organizing special events, and providing pastoral care and counseling. A Children's Pastor is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with parents, teachers, and other church staff to ensure the best care for children in the church.
Children's Pastor Summary
The Children's Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual guidance, discipleship, and leadership for children and their families. This position will oversee the spiritual growth of children within a church setting, including Sunday school, mid-week activities, and special events. The Children's Pastor will partner with the Senior Pastor and other staff members to ensure a safe, caring, and Christ-centered environment. The Children's Pastor will also be responsible for developing and leading programs, activities, and resources that build relationships between children and their families. They will create and lead engaging worship experiences, Bible studies, and other spiritual activities for children. Additionally, the Children's Pastor will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteers for children's programs.
