The Dock Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure that shipments are scheduled and routed properly.
The purpose of a dock supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the loading and unloading of freight, materials, and cargo at a shipping dock. They ensure that the dock is operated safely and efficiently, and that all dock activities and operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The dock supervisor is also responsible for supervising dock personnel and providing training and direction as needed. Additionally, dock supervisors are often responsible for maintaining accurate records of dock activities and for ensuring that dock equipment is in good working condition.
