They are responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that promote and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of nurses at all levels. They provide guidance and support to nurses through teaching, mentoring, and consulting, and help them understand and improve their practice. Clinical Nurse Educators also evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing care, and facilitate the development of evidence-based practice guidelines, policies, and procedures.

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides educational and professional development support to nursing staff and other healthcare personnel in order to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to patients.
